Rashad Williams is an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. His research and teaching explore the moral bases for corrective racial justice at the municipal scale and the range of policies that might constitute reparations in the planning context. His research on reparations has been published in the Journal of Planning Education and Research and the Journal of the American Planning Association. Rashad began working with the Mapping Prejudice research team in 2020 when he began to work as a consultant for cities implementing municipal reparations programs.
