Ismail Khadar

Community Organizer, East Side Freedom Library

Ismail Khadar is one half of the East Side Freedom Library's Housing Justice Program. A born and raised east sider, Ismail is proud to be able to affect change within the community he calls home. Although the Housing Justice Program is small, it has been able to tackle a plethora of relevant housing-related issues on the east side. The nature of our work is collaborative and Ismail is resolute in the library's vision: Imagining and advocating for a world that prioritizes people over profits. Outside of the library you can find Ismail hiking, watching film, playing soccer, boxing, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and most befittingly, reading!
