Mapping Prejudice and Render Free are partnering on a two-part online series that explores the history of racial housing covenants while centering the Black experience. Join us for community discussion, restorative story engagement and the reckoning of a hidden history of race and privilege in the built environment. These sessions are intentionally crafted for Black and Brown community members directly impacted by this history. 

Help us make, and map, history. We’re featuring deeds from Washington, D.C., Washtenaw County, Michigan, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, and Anoka, Olmsted and Washington Counties in Minnesota. Our team will walk you through the process step-by-step so that you can join the more than 10,000 community mapmakers contributing to this project.
